AVCC Digital Competition and Print Proxy File Setup

All image files submitted in AVCC monthly digital competitions must adhere to the following requirements:

  1. Files must be of type "jpeg".
  2. The image must not exceed a width of 1400 pixels or a height of 1050 pixels. Note this height restriction applies to both portrait and landscape formats

The following are step-by-step examples for resizing and saving image files using Photoshop Elements, popular image-editing software.

Example:

  1. In Photoshop Elements, open file of competition photo.
  2. Select Image on Tool Bar.
  3. Select Resize.
  4. Select Image Size.
  5. Set Width to a maximum of 1400 pixels or Height to maximum of 1050 pixels (whichever achieves both height and width being less than the maximums).
  6. Select OK.
  7. Select File and Save As on Tool Bar.
  8. Select location to save file.
  9. Select Format: JPEG (*.JPG,*JPEG,*.JPE).
