All image files submitted in AVCC monthly digital competitions must adhere to the following requirements:
- Files must be of type "jpeg".
- The image must not exceed a width of 1400 pixels or a height of 1050 pixels. Note this height restriction applies to both portrait and landscape formats
The following are step-by-step examples for resizing and saving image files using Photoshop Elements, popular image-editing software.
Example:
- In Photoshop Elements, open file of competition photo.
- Select Image on Tool Bar.
- Select Resize.
- Select Image Size.
- Set Width to a maximum of 1400 pixels or Height to maximum of 1050 pixels (whichever achieves both height and width being less than the maximums).
- Select OK.
- Select File and Save As on Tool Bar.
- Select location to save file.
- Select Format: JPEG (*.JPG,*JPEG,*.JPE).
- Type in your file name.
- Select Save.
- Select OK.
